Word from our Director  During
this exciting startup time at Elder Focus, we have the opportunity to ponder our
values, mission, and vision for the company. By establishing a solid foundation
we hope to engender a commitment to excellence in standards of care and quality
for our clients.
We
espouse the philosophy of the Commission for Case Management Certification that
"when an individual reaches the optimum level of wellness and functional
capability, everyone benefits: the individuals being served; their support systems;
(i.e. families); the health care delivery systems; and the various reimbursement
sources". We
assert that we can raise the quality of life for elders and family through advocacy,
crisis supervision, education, identification of resources, and monitoring. We
can refer a variety of resources to the client which can be used in an efficient
and cost effective way. Our goal is to optimally match services with client needs.
Communication
is a primary goal of our care managers. As facilitators, our specialty is promoting
information flow between elders, family, and service providers. This, we believe,
is foremost in solving even the most difficult life situations. We
believe that our care managers must achieve and maintain the highest level of
education, skills, and training. We endorse licensure and certification as the
best way to demonstrate this mastery. Our goal is to provide the highest standards
