Monterey,
CA - Jacquie DePetris, LCSW proudly announces the opening of Elder Focus, LLC,
a senior care management practice serving the Monterey Bay area. The business,
located at 2600 Garden Road, Suite 207, Monterey provides services to seniors,
family members, and nursing homes which include:
- Conducting
senior assessments and developing care plans that assist an elder in remaining
independent ·
- On-call
24x7 crisis intervention and facilitation acting as liaison between seniors and
their health care providers and family members
- Independent
monitoring of care delivery and quality of care for seniors in nursing homes and
skilled nursing facilities·
- Family
counseling and support for senior and their families addressing aging, life transitions
and grief
- Assistance
identifying specialized services such as transportation, nursing home placement,
housing, and adult day care ·
- Conservatorship
of the person, psychological testamentary and mental health consults as an expert
witness in court hearings

Senior
care managers are licensed professionals, primarily social workers and nurses,
who have extensive training and experience working with frail seniors and families
who need assistance with care giving issues. They also assist families in the
search for a suitable nursing home placement if the need occurs.
DePetris,
a Monterey County resident, is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley
and focuses her practice on gerontology including senior counseling and psychotherapy,
care management and forensic psychology. She is a Senior Professional member of
the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, National Association
of Social Workers, and will be receiving her Diplomate Fellow of Forensic Psychology
in December.
