FOCUS'S DEPETRIS ACHIEVES BOARD CERTIFICATION IN FORENSIC
SCIENCES
Monterey,
CA - Elder Focus, LLC proudly announces that its Director,
Jacquie DePetris, LCSW, CCM has been awarded professional
designation as a Board Certified, Diplomate Fellow in
Forensic Sciences of the International College of Professional
Psychology. This designation is open to licensed psychologists,
social workers and marriage and family therapists who
satisfy strict post-graduate education, licensure, experience
and standards-of-practice requirements. The Program of
Training takes approximately one year and includes eighty
classroom hours. It is regarded as the most stringent
Diplomate-Certification in Forensics in the United States.
Forensic social workers and therapists specialize in a
variety of services for their clients involving the judicial
process. These services include assessment and diagnosis
of individuals with mental disorders, generation of mental
health reports, and providing expert testimony in court.
The types of cases using mental health testamentary include
family law and child custody, sentencing evaluation, sexual
harassment, and wrongful termination. Board certification
includes training in providing testimony, rules of evidence,
and working with attorneys.
